Because it is undoubtedly a little ambitious, sometimes misleading, and most of the time gibberish, we share with you from time to time our opinion and our advice on new trends and best practices.

Scheduling or backdating your Facebook posts for beginners

Do you really think the posts you see on your Facebook news feed appear as they are created? Not at all! It would be impossible to publish all the posts from multiple pages managed by an agency within the same time slots. Our schedules would be unbelievable in that case. Let us show you two clever tricks.

Scheduling posts

When creating a post, you have four main options: publish, draft, schedule, and backdate. In our case, scheduling posts is definitely the most useful tool. First, we create an editorial calendar with different post themes, such as “Fun”, “News”, “Blog”, and so on. Then, posts are created and scheduled for times when your fans are online. We can always change the date if current events shift and you have a hot topic! This way, there’s less work in the evenings or on weekends.

Backdating to correct mistakes

Have you ever tried backdating a post? Simply put, the publication date seen by the viewer is set in the past! So, if you forgot to post or if your offer has been valid since an earlier date, you can show that it’s been online for a while already. This way, no one can say you forgot 😉
